I think we shouldn't only blame it on school and sex ed; parents should sit and talk to their sons and daughters too, about sex and the consequences of having sex, pregnancy and STD's. However, don't forget the peer pressure that teens get when it comes to sex and relationships, which pushes the to do things without thinking. I think to get rid of this problem; we need to make sure that teens actually understand what they're getting themselves into; especially when it comes to unprotected sex. They need to know, understand and believe that sex isn't just a physical and physiological process that occures between a man and a woman!
Sex has become "fashion" now, it's "lame" not to have a boyfriend & not to have sex. With the MTV's 17 & pregnant, you would think they are encouraging it. It's really sad to see it happening though.
But, I also believe that teenagers are now pressured into doing it, because most of them look up to celebrities. So they are obsessed by looking ridiculously skinny & sexy, then it ends up in boyfriends & sex.
Personally, I am almost 15 & I am in no rush to have a boyfriend or have sex until I'm at least in my twenties.
