Unhappy anyone with answers??

Hey, im new here. but i have a very urging question..

I have noticed a small lump on the inner lips of my vagina. It's not a sort of wart, nor does it feel like it could be herpes.(there is no pain/irritation/itching.. i could hardly tell it was there really). It feels as though its some sort of clump of tissue, is that possible? ive heard of ovarian cyst's and cyst's on other parts of the body, could there be one there? I'de imagine if i had a lump in my breast's it would feel the same way.(like a little ball of tissue). can anyone relate or able to help me with the question?? I'm only 18 and a little freaked out..

Have you had this looked at yet? I see it's been a while since you posted your question. Let me know if the lump is still there and try to describe it a little more. Thanks.

Unhappy same thing!

Wow, so crazy...I came on this site looking for answers about the same thing!

I also have a lump about the size of a dime, but more oblong, on the inner lips of my vagina near the vaginal opening. I just found it two days ago, and it had never been there before, that I can recall. I do have a little tenderness, but not really pain. I showed my fiance, and he said to give it a week, check it again to see if it has gone away or grown, and we will go from there.

It is inside the tissue, smooth, no outside sores or anything. My fiance suggested that it was a small harmless cyst.

Here's some other problems I am having, and I have no idea if they are related:

I am a semi-virgin...my fiance and I have been trying to have sex for about a month, but when he tries to actually go inside of me, he says it feels like he's pushing against a brick wall. It feels to me like he's pretty far inside, and when he pushes farther, it hurts a lot--very sharp pain. I have broken into tears twice, and there has not really been any blood...just little tiny spots, maybe, on the toilet paper. I try to relax my vaginal muscles and just un-tense myself in general, but it seems to have no effect. To add insult to injury, his penis is extra large--regular size condoms only go about 3/4 of the way onto his penis, and he's also allergic to latex. Polyurethane condoms only come in regular size, so we are constantly concerned about breaking them.

He's concerned that the hormones in the Pill will mess me up, give me mood swings, make me gain weight, etc...(I used to be obese, and not gaining back the weight I lost is really important to me). That's why I haven't gone on the pill.

Also, the icing on the cake is: I have no medical insurance and cannot afford medical care. What's a girl to do?

I may also post this question on a regular thread for more exposure. Thank you....

Red face possible answers

Hi, first thing I will say is Relax, don't worry. As a virgin, sex can be scary, when you're stressed out about that whole thing and all that you're thinking about is "Oh my God, relax, calm down don't tighten your muscles". thats the last thing that will happen. Not wanting to sound crass but the vaginal muscles are so strong that they can crush a hand! Your body will go into shut down mode and ain't nothing gonna get past if you're bits are worried and he doesn't want his bits squashed!
Couple of thoughts, try and be romantic, take your time and don't start out the night with the thought this is ot I'm going to do it, because inevitably you'll get wound up without even meaning to.
Something worth trying is Bach flower remedies to relax and reassure, a prevention for panic attacks or Kalms tablets to just help you chill out a bit.
In resolve to the problem of condoms........... they're not very attractive at all but have you thought of trying Femidoms, it's a vaginal condom. the condom is placed into the vagina by squeezing a ring in the end of it and it just pops in.

I hope this helps,

Default My friend says........

A friend of mine has come round and has some advice......
as far as the penetration problem is concerned it could be that your hymen is thicker or stronger than average - I have heard that this can be surgically remedied. This is not an uncommon problem. Have you ever used a vibrator? This might help you relax and investigate the problem - in privacy. The "lump" is something that should be looked at - it could be related - are there no drop in medical facilities that non insured people can use?

OK, well....good news, the lump is gone. I think it might have come up as a result of irritation from trying to have sex...maybe a hair follicle or something....I don't know. But, it's mostly gone away, so much that I couldn't remember where I had found it to begin with. Also, I started my period about 4 days early, maybe it's hormone related.

As for the relaxation thing....yes, you are right, of course. I used to have trouble having an orgasm because I was so tense...now I have no trouble at all. My sweetie is darling, he has really slowed down to help me relax, and he even tells me beforehand that we are just taking it slow, no pressure, we're just going to do what feels good. he is convinced that he can ease me around---he's very patient and attentive...and very determined...and a cuddler, so even though at first I thought our relationship would suffer, it has actually gotten stronger...we both realize that sex is not the be-all-end-all of romantic contact--we need physical affection regardless.

At any rate--he has said he would buy my a vibrator if I wanted one, but I don't know. I have also considered the fact that I may need some kind of procedure...I do notice trouble inserting tampons sometimes...they have to go in just the right way, or it hurts. There is a walk in clinic here, but it isnt really walk in...I'd have to make an appointment ahead of time. I have been thinking of going there for that, and because they give out free birth control.

The other thing I was considering is that perhaps I have a cyst/fibroid? I looked up some of the symptoms, and I have quite a few of them. I'll just have to get looked at, I think.

And...I have considered the female condoms, but no pharmacies sell them here. I think I may have to order them online. But the website has very little info about purchasing them. Grr.

Thanks for the input!
