Thread: Bleeding after Colposcopy, is this normal?

Hi,

I posted one thread few days ago regarding an abnormal pap smear. This is just a follow up question regarding the colposcopy procedure the doctor did to me. Two days after the procedure I have been spotting and getting a dark color discharge which is completely normal. The third day to my surprise I was bleeding pretty heavily (like a period) then it stopped for a day and today i am bleeding again. I just called my doctor and i am currently waiting for her return call.

Does anybody know if this is something I have to worry about or sometimes this happens? Thank you.

Yes hun its normal and they should have told you that at the gyno! I bleed a little for the first day when I got mine done. I think if it lasts anymore then 2 days you should go back or make a call to your docter!
