Question 'dandruff' round that area?

this is a strange one..i cant find anything like it anywhere so feel a bit freakish..anyway. my whole vaginal area is really dry. at least, i think thats what the problem is - it gets really itchy, so i shaved down there just so i was aired out a bit, and saw that the skin is so dry that it flakes like dandruff. ive tried putting cream i forget what its called but made sure it has no perfumes etc in it. and it helps temporarily but after a little while its gets dry and itchy again. i've been thinking about trying vagisil but cant find it whenever i think about it. anyone know what could make the skin down there so dry?

Default

Sounds like eczema reactions that I get elsewhere (elbows, face, eyebrows). This can be triggered by irritation caused by a variety of things. Prescription steroid creams work for me. To ultimately solve the problem I stopped using anything with perfumes, essential oils and sulfates. This was a huge lifestyle change since almost all typical products contain these things but it can be done with some research (dont forget laundry detergent since even "free" kinds include plenty of irritating detergents. I use Charlie's Laundry Soap). I also know a girl that was allergic to the moisturizing strip on her razor. The possibilities for irritation are endless. Anyway, I'd try to have a doctor confirm that it's a sensitivity issue before doing all that if you can afford to go to a good doctor (which may require a dermatologist and a gyno).

Good luck.
