Question Pcos

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS after 6 years of irregular periods, to gradually not having a period at all except for a little spotting every now and then. My pap test came back normal. Dr had an ultrasound done to check the thickness of the lining of my uterus and that was fine. There were no abnormalities other than some Nabothain cysts on my cervix which are benign.
I just finished 2 days ago taking provera to try and induce a period, so far..no such luck. Then, I get a call from the nurse today and she wants me to call if and when I start bleeding/spotting..even if I don't..
If I don't bleed or end up with just spotting, Dr. wants me to make another appt. to see her for further examination. What more could she do? I thought I was in the clear on things and now I am scared to death..Has anyone else had this happen before?

I've had my hormone levels checked a few times and they were ok..I do have elevated testosterone levels a bit and my insulin levels are also high, but other than that, everything was ok.

Default i to have pcos

i have pcos and have delt with it since i was 18 years old.pcos has alot of factors that can cause serious health issues.high blood pressure and cancers and facial hair or hair growth were women don't grow hair.weight gain all kinds of factors.to help you get your body back on track you need to change your eating habits like stay away from sugars and fatty foods.also excersice will help you.as for me mine is caused mainly from hormone imbalance yours sounds more like yours is from blood sugar pcos can cause diabetis so really look out for what you eat.you also might want to ask your dr.to put you on progesterone because within 7 days or so your period will start then she should try metformin.believe me this will help you.i have been on metformin for 3 years my periods have been regular if you are trying to get pregnant you don't want birth control but if you are not trying to get pregnant you can try birth control.you might have some brownish blood first time when you get your period but it could just be old blood.but i really hope everything works out for you and i hope this helps you
