This is my first time using birth control. I started my first pill the first day of my period. Normally my period last about 4 to 5 days. But ever since I took the birth control my period has not stopped. It has been going on for 4 weeks now, till the point where I'm taking the week 4, white pills. Im bleeding heavy too, and my breast are sore. This has never happened to me in my life !

Is this normal when you first start birth control ? Im getting freaked out. I been to the doctor and she really didn't say much about it. She just told me to keep taking my birth control and it should stop. But it hasn't, its been 4 weeks now. Im not sexual active and have no stds. I got on birth control to help control my periods. Now im thinking this is the worst decision I ever made .....

That doesn't sound normal to me. I had trouble finding the right pill for me at first. Everyone is different. You need to tell your doc again & if she doesn't want to help, get a second opinion. Good luck!
