    Default Still Yeast Infection?

Hey all, I've been here before, and now I'm back. A month back I had a pregnancy scare - probably a little ridiculous of me. Got a urine test at the health center, and took three hpts about a week apart each; all negative and not one borderline positive. I think the stress about it may have done something psychologically, but I'm not sure.

Anyway, I was bloated, and had bowel issues, and random pain sometimes, and was finally relieved to have an answer when the lady there told me I had a yeast infection. She gave me the one pill of Diflucan that covers a week of treatment, and it seemed to help - [warning; possible excess info ahead] discharge increased, so I thought it was flushing itself out before it went away for good. Well, I went back the next week, and she said the good bacteria were coming back nicely, and that I should be fine. A little over a week later, I feel it is still here - sometimes gets itchy down there, the skin right above near my hip line seems slightly dry, still discharge. I bought lots of yogurt and plan on downing it for a while, but want to know...

With a vaginal yeast infection, do you get bloated like this? And constipation? Sometimes, when I touch my stomach when its bloated, it feels a bit firm ... and sometimes not.

And then about my boobs ... [again, information excess] I told the doctor at the health center that my nipples had been acting different. What do I mean? Well, the tips seem slightly darkened, but do not hurt. It isn't really noticable until I shower or something - I feel like once I undress and the water hits them, they get erect, the montgomery glands immediately make an appearance, and a light discharge shows at the tips of both nipples. It isn't enough to drip down, it just kinda shows up at the tip until I am done. Then, it seems to stop. When they get erect, the tips get pinkish red while the actual nipples remain the normal light brown color, except with overactive montgomery glands.

    Any ideas?

    Default Answers anyone?

Does anyone have an answer? My best guesses were hormone imbalance or systemicly developed yeast infection. Please help

    Default yeast infection

I constantly have a yeast infection. I bloat, am constipated, and irritable. I have a apple body which make wearing pants miserable. They r so tight at the waist. I have lower cramps and is painful when I have sex. Actually my sex drive is very low. Having an orgasm is difficult. My lower back hurts, i think because of the constipation, and any gas i pass could clear a room. I am at a loss of what to do.

Wow, so a yeast infection can do that - the bloating and irritable feelings? And the bowel issues? I get random pain sometimes - like right now, my period is on its last day or so so my body could be giving a final push of annoyance, but my lower abdomen is rather annoying - not really painful, just annoying. I am seeing a doctor, hopefully, once I get home for Thanksgiving, which is after tomorrow. I'm hoping all can be explained by hormone issues and a yeast infection. I 'will' reply when I find out what is wrong.

But for recurrent yeast infections, see a doctor maybe? If they aren't going away, that could be bad. I mean, mine didn't go away with the meds they gave me, so hopefully all of this gets settled in a few days. Though I have been in a much better mood than previously, and just don't get as bothered by everything - I figure it has been doing me nothing.

    Smile yeast infection

Yes, a yeast infection can be nasty. I know i am not alone. It seems as i have gotten older the infection visits more. I do think u r right. I think it has something to do with hormones, at least 4 older women. I am 47and this last spring had surgery because of endometreosis. I had my uterus removed at 33 and now the rest of the plumbing. It seems the infections have gotten worse. I am making an apt. with my Dr. after Thanksgiving. How old r u.

    Default O_o

Wow, I'm only 19. But I did get home and saw a gyno [first time ever] and they confirmed that yes the yeast infection was still there, and pretty bad too. I got a suppository to use for three days and from the amount of discharge I experienced mid yesterday, I'd say it's doing something along the lines of killing.
They took two vials of blood [mentioned my nipple discharge issues] so we'll see how that goes, and they also did a pap. I should know those results by next Wednesday.
But still, this is my first issue with yeast infections, and hoping it goes away this time around. If it doesn't, there will be many questions brought up for sure. Good luck with your appointment!

    Default Oh -

And apparently my cervix is off center - to the left a bit - and my did that make for a painful pap smear. They finally found it, but tears were already running down my cheeks at how painfully uncomfortable it was. Lucky me.

    Default Test Results

Well, they called back with all my test results, and perhaps I should be happy, but I am more confused - everything came back negative except the yeast infection, which was treated there while I was home. They checked my prolactin, but it was at the right level - something like 0.8 or whatever they said is normal. No STDs, they mentioned a false positive for herpes or I think they did, and I did a double take, but I don't have herpes.

So all they came up with was strep, AKA yeast infection. Which has been treated. I had never mentioned the dry skin to them, and wonder if I should. But that isn't really something a gyno would know, at least it doesn't seem like their specialty. But at least the yeast infection seems better - I mean, the discharge seems to have almost decreased entirely. But the dry skin still remains. Le sigh. Perhaps stress really did kill me.
