Unhappy Please help. Bacterial Vaginosis, a bladder infection, or yeast infection??

More often than not, I get a uncomfortable feeling after I pee, not really a "pain," but it's certainly uncomfortable. I've had numerous bladder infections in the past 6 months which I've treated with antibiotics, where I was experiencing the constant feeling of having of having to pee along with the discomfort afterwards. After that the feeling of having to pee went away and I had discharge that resembled that of a yeast infection, so I took monistat, which didn't really seem to help. For the past month or so it seemed to smell kind of "fishy" but that smell has become not so bad. Sometimes I experience pain during sex, but not often. I really don't want to see a doctor about this because it is kind of embarassing. Can someone PLEASE help me?? Is this bacterial vaginosis, a bladder infection, or a yeast infection?

    Thankss.

A few years back there was a book published called the Yeast Connection. You should hunt up a copy. Any time you take antibiotics you HAVE to take acidophilous and bifidous with it or you are almost guaranteed a problem with yeast and that is not just limited to vaginal yeast. It can play merry heck with your entire body. Lots of plain, natural yogurt is helpful, cut out sugar and refined flour products. NO tight pants or panty hose, cotton undies only or no undies. Drink lots if cranberry juice - NOT juice cocktail, those are mostly sugar. You want 100% juice cranberry, it will be sweetened typically with white grape juice. Lots of water, plain water, no soda, not even diet.

Not seeing a doctor because you are embarassed is silly and dangerous. Go to a doctor whether conventional or naturapathic, your sexual partner should go too, he can re-infect you.

So you are suggesting that this is a yeast infection- not bacterial vaginosis?

It is quite common to have a mixture of several vaginal problems, when your vaginal bacteria are weak.
Fishy smell is most likely bacterial vaginosis. Your yeast-like infection is also normal after antibiotics.

I agree on pure cranberry juice for the bladder infection, but it does not help the vaginal problems. Some get help from probiotict, but I experienced much better result by strenghten our own bacteria. This is done by administering milk sugar - . It is guaranteed to take away fishy smell, it supplies natural humidity (could be the reason for the problem with sex), and for many it helps against yeast infections.

i've had these problems before i would go and get my urine checked and they would say it was fine...then on my own i would go and get the over the shelf monistat and found out that i was alergic to it, then finely went to dr's and he would give me the oral 1 to swallow and at first it worked...i would keep on having them and get checked then finely my dr asked me what underwear i used he told me to only use all cotton, not just the crotch area the whole thing sorry to be so blunt anyways, no perfume soaps, no perfume at all even in laundry soaps and that helped so much i don't get them hardly at all anymore...i still will get 1 once in awhile bladder infections and yeast infections but not like before try this out!
