Hi,
I'm having a particularly troubling problem, and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this:
In the summer, I got a yeast infection -- but I didn't realize that was what it was (since I hadn't had one before). I had just got married, and I thought it was maybe just the process of getting used to sex.
Consequently, I let it go for way too long (maybe 7 or 8 weeks before seeing a doctor). She gave me a topical cream. It didn't work. Next she gave me a stronger anti-fungal cream. It seemed to clear up the infection.
But -- now I have this scarring along the side of my labia and it's always kinda sore.
For the most part, I can ignore it, but it usually hurts after intercourse, which is unfortunate, because I'm still a newlywed, and it's definitely getting in the way of things.
My husband says the scar seems very small, but it's always red after sex and uncomfortable. No matter how gentle my husband is (and he always is) it seems like it causes a problem.
Has anyone experienced this? I don't want to pester my doctor again if I don't have to.
Any comments advice would be really helpful!
Thanks
I'm not sure. I've never had this happen, but it's never pestering your doc to have an appt. or to ask your doc ?'s. I'd talk with your doc.
