I just turned 40 about six months ago but for the past 6 months. I have been having irregular periods and bleeding in between my periods. About 3 years I had a clear Pap test and I had an ultra sound that came back normal so they put me on BC which I took and it seemed to regulate my periods. I stopped taking the BC about a year ago and have had bleeding between my periods. Bu For the past 2 months I have started bleeding for 3 days and then about 4 days later bleeding for another 3 to 4 days.

I had a pap test last week and I am waiting for the results and I am scheduled for an utra sound next month.

But I am extremly scared.... Any ideas what could be happening to me?

Could this be cancer?

Please help!
