Hi. I am now a 40 yr woman, however, when I was 14(yes 14), I had a dermoid cyst the size of a football tangled around an ovary and tube and consequently, I had an oophorectomy.

I became pregnant with no problems and have a healthy 14 yr old daughter.

Now, that Im getting older, Im reading of some severe risks of having that ovary removed(even though there was no choice).
Demetia, Parkinsons disease and so on.

Im due for a physical soon and want to know what tests I should request from my md. What specifically do I ask for? Checking estrogen levels? Im at a loss here.
