Unhappy pain & irritation that does NOT heal w/ treatment

I've never posted on anything like this but I'm at a total loss.

I'm 21 years old and have a very healthy sexual appetite.
and then one day, a few weeks ago, everything stopped feeling good.

it started with what I perceived to be "itching"
but now it's just raw, swollen and irritated around my labia (the smaller one),
almost all the way up to my clit, and also inside my vagina a little bit.
when I look, it's quite red and the whole area is swollen,
like I'm aroused, only I'm not. I'm very uncomfortable.
anything that touches it (underwear, tight clothing) is unbearable,
however, the symptoms do go away for hours at a time for no particular reason.

I've taken antibiotics for BV, but there was no improvement.
I'm 5 days through monostat 7, but there is definitely no improvement.
(both of these were recommended by my gyno)

sex is very painful. I can't even touch myself down there.
honestly, not having sex or masturbating for this long is part of what's driving me crazy.

I can't figure out what's wrong. I've been screened for STDs and nothing's come up.
I'm worried I have vulvodynia but maybe I'm just being a hypochondriac.

does anyone have any recommendations? I don't know how much longer I can take.
I'm starting to feel very depressed and defeated and it's definitely affecting my relationship.

Use only unscented, dye free detergent, some powdered detergents use ground corn cobs as filler and that can irritate. No scented or colored TP, Only cotton undies, avoid tight pants, panty hose. Avoid soaps in the genital region, and deodorant or scented soaps on your body. Use only sanitary pads that have no scent or deodorants.

You may want to wear just nice loose skirts without any underwear for a while -anything to reduce contact. You could have a contact allergy, a response to something you consumed or an as yet undiagnosed infection. Antibiotics can set you up for a yeast infection. That this subsides argues for something you are in contact with or are consumming. Start a food log, note ANYthing you put in your body. See what patterns you find?
