Thread: UTI again + again :'(

Hi all
I'm currently suffering from a UTI (urinary tract infection) I'm in my 3rd week of it, and 3rd set of different antibiotics

I seem to be getting it quite often and all the docs can say is "it's common amongst sexually active women, be sure to drink lots of water, be sure to pee after sex etc etc" But I do those things and I still get them. I've had around 7 in the past 2 years, and my last one was in January. A couple of days on antibiotics usually gets rid of it, but for some reason it's lasted 3 weeks now. The tablets seem to be working, although not as quickly as I expected.. and now I've got thrush, just to top it all off.

I'm sorry 4 ranting, and I know I may not have it as much as some women but i'm close to tears now about it... I'm with a great guy, and we're supposed to be in that honeymoon period of not being able to stay apart, but I have to due to this.
Why does this happen? What am I doing wrong?? How can I make it go awayyyy lol?

Tomorow will be my last day of antibiotics n i cant bloomin wait! I think the UTI has gone.. i do still need to pee alot, but that could be cause im drinking so much water now. I'm drinking more water as well as a glass of cranberry juice a day which i think i'll keep up forever! But when i need to pee, i need to pee right there an then an its a run to the bathroom.
Right now im suffering from what i think is thrush prob due to the antibiotics and the worst thrush ive ever had. Altho no discharge, Im tempted to cut off my oh-soooo swolled vulva and never have sex again if it just means i wont have to go through all this again.
