Thread: Antibiotics and Yeast Infections

Is there anyone else out there who gets yeast infections after taking antibiotics to treat Sinusitis or the Flu? If so, what antibiotics were you on because it seems like every antibiotic I take gives me a yeast infection?

Some people are more sensitive than others but it is not unusual to obtain a yeast infection after taking an antibiotic. Being a nurse most all of our female patients end up with a yeast infections following a round of antibiotics. Depending on the severity of it, sometimes eating yogurt will help. Some people when the symptoms are too bad need prescription medication to take care of the problem.
