    hi,
    i have a gynecologist appointment scheduled for TOMORROW
    and im very worried because it is for a follow up but i think that i may
    also need a check up. should i call and change it to a check up and follow up
    appointment or should i just ask her during my follow up?

    Leave it as it is. When you are there, you can discuss any of your concerns and if she feels that you are in need of a second pap smear, she will certainly let you know.

    Usually a follow up, after a period of time to take another swab, to ensure everything is okay which really is also a check up isn't it.

    Have a chat with her tomorrow and good luck.
