scared- brown discharge

okay. so its been about 5 days since the end of my period and im still experience some brown discharge. there isnt any irritation or anything (yet! god forbid!) and im really worried because im also experiencing some wierd discomfort in my, i dunno uterus/ cervical area??...can anyone help me out here?...i thought it might just be old bood from after my period but is it supposed to go on this long?

How do you mean by discomfort in your cervix area?

it just feel like when i have a menstrual cramp but its isolated in the centre of my pelvis i guess

There are lots of reasons why you may still bleed after your period (with brown blood) old blood mixed with your normal womanly discharge.

Stress is one big factor... Your body will always continue longer when stressed, or the oposite, delay your period.

If the pain however is very sharp, you could have a cyst.

Best to go to your Doctor (both of you), and explain your individual symptons, you may not be able to find out if it's just a natural occurance or a problem until you finish bleeding as they more than likely will do a pap smear and also feel around your pelvic area to see your reactions to pain.

are you on the pill? you may just be having an 'awkward' period, it would be lovely if every period was always the same but it never is, i hope it goes for you though and go to the doctors if you are still worried
