Thread: HPV??? Normal Pap?

To start off, I have always had normal paps. I got pregnant last Jan of 08 and while I was pregnant, I had these two fleshy growths pop up. One on the outer labia towards my thigh and one about an inch or two below it. When I was pregnant I asked the dr about it and he said they are probably skin tags and pap was norm so he didnt do anything. Well I would say they are about the size of like a top of a nail (like .5cm), they are not painful but they are raised with irregular edges and about the same color as my skin. I read that genital warts can pop up easier when your pregnant? They are just so annoying and make it really hard to shave down there, Im constantly knicking them and they bleed like crazy! So I need advice, could it be genital warts? I am going to see the gyn next week but im so nervous, i do want to know but then again I don't! Help please!

I think your doctor has probably got it right and, with a normal PAP, they are not indicative of HPV. However, as they are both worrying and bothering you I think bringing them back to the doctor is absolutely the right thing to do.

I doubt it is genital warts, but getting a doctor to tell you that for sure is best.
