Tonight I noticed some spotting that I have never had before. It wasn't on my underwear or anything to that nature, but it was on the toilet paper after I wiped. I am 22 and have never had an irregular period or any spotting since I started my period at the age of 12. I have also been on the birth control pill for almost three years, with not spotting occurring. My period ended a week ago, so I am a little bit worried.

Also, the blood was sort of a milky blood, like a typical discharge, but red from blood. I noticed this directly following a shower, could this be the problem?
