I have been reading about the Herpes virus, and now, I am very concerned that I have it. I have small vaginal cuts on my vagina, towards the bottom of it. Not sure if that makes sense, but it is at the very end of my vagina not near the clitoris -- further down. I also have been having a burning sensation when I pee. On top of this, I had a thick, white discharge that when away when my period came. I don't think it is a yeast infection since it really wasn't lumpy like cottage cheese. It was thick, and there were a couple "lumps" in it, but not what I think of when I read about a cottage cheese like discharge. I am sorry for all the gross information. I have only had one sexual partner. I have told him about this, and he is freaking out because neither of us think it would be simplex 2 since he has never experienced any problems. What we think, is maybe it is simplex 1, and I got it from him performing oral sex. He cannot recall having any cold sores since we have been together, and I haven't seen any, but maybe one was in his mouth. I read through another forum and some people stated yeast infection, but others insisted it was the herpes virus. Does anyone have any opinions on this? I am obviously going to get tested very soon, but I decided to post this in the mean time.
