    Question Torn!!! Please help

I have a tear in my "vaginal vestibule," that happened earlier today when I was having sex with my boyfriend. It bled a lot at the time, but it has stopped, at least for now. It's pretty painful, especially during urination, and it's fairly deep. It's right in the crease if that makes sense... Should I get stitches or could it heal on its own?
    Thanks!

I think that for readers, I will explain that you mean the "mouth of your vagina", it sounds like you weren't lubricated and as a result you have a "tare" and obviously he kept going making it deeper.

I think we have all experienced that at some point in our lives, if it has stopped bleeding, then personally, regardless of how deep you think it is, it will heal on its own, just avoid sex until it does.

Maybe, put a thick bit of toilet paper there when you urinate to stop the pain in the meantime, I can't think of anything else that may help in that regard.

    Others may..

This happens to me nearly every time I have sex. We lubricate several times during to avoid it, but it always happens anyway. My cuts range from a barely visible paper cut to about a cut that's a bit longer than a quarter inch (one that I'm currently enduring). It stings to urinate, but I find that it stops stinging after the first couple hours. I usually take two to three days to heal up, so you should be fine.

BTW, if anyone else has ideas as to how to prevent these cuts from happening (other than lube.... I already use A LOT), please share.

Usually not long. Sometimes a few minutes. It doesn't seem to help the tearing.

    Hey,
I had a tear the other day. It was only very little and only a little bit of blood got on my undies after the sex (I didn't actually realise until I went to the toilet.. it only stung a bit). I was very very wet, but we'd sex at least 4 times every day for that week with my boyfriend, so I was very tender as well (during sex I didn't feel it though). I think my vagina just had a little too much and it was a sign to say, "No more, please give me a break!" So I gave it 2 days, then had sex again and I was fine.

Its happened to me before, where more blood has come out, which suggests to me it was probably a deeper or wider tear. I just give it a few days rest, keep it clean and after that its fine. Most women do go through tearing at some stage in their lives.

Er, I don't think you'd need stitching. Well, I wouldn't think so anyway.. how big is the tear?

It will sting for a few days, but as long as you try and keep it clean and give it a rest from sex for a couple of days, it should heal up fine. Not a big issue.

And Amaranthine, sorry if this sounds a bit nosy and ridiculous, but how , er, 'rough' is your sex? You may just have sensitive skin, so going at it, er, 'hard' might be at least an influence on the tearing.
Love the life you've been given; it's the only one you'll ever get.

It happens whether it's rough or not. My boyfriend is about an average size, so that shouldn't be the issue either.
