Quick history - 48yr old started peri over 2 yrs ago with sudden missed periods then long heavy periods - then I started to go up to 4 months no period then start spotting/bleeding for up to 3 months. Had loads of tests 18 mths ago and told it was hormonal nothing else wrong. I did not want to do mirena coil or hrt so said I would put up with it! Had 6 months normal periods then back to long time without. Went 5 months up to easter this year and then started the marathon spotting bleeding. This happened daily for 12 weeks then I had 11 days bleed free but now back to the daily bleeding sometimes heavy.
Month ago had loads of tests again - hysteroscopy with biopsy and ultrasound plus mri scan of pelvis and abdomen and bloods inc CA125 test.
Only finding was orange sized benign cyst on right ovary. Again told it was unbalanced hormones - only offer was hysterectomy. They will monitor cyst with 3 monthy ultrasound and blood test or if I have hysterectomy will take ovary as well.
I am going to try natural progesterone cream to see if that works - seeing Dr next week to start this.
anyone tried this for constant bleeding or otherwise and did they get any side effects????
If this doesn't work then I suppose its a hysterectomy but that would scare me big time as its a big operation and I have other health problems.
anyone else got my problem and want to share????
