Hi my name is Lyle and im very concerned about my girl friends health and would appreciate any help and more understanding any of you could give me about our situation. My girl friend Lacey is 22yrs old and started having some pelvic pain and irregular periods. So she went and had a Ultra Sound done and these were the results she got. Moderate amount of free pelvic fluid. No evidence of adnexal masses. Prominent endometrium. I guess her moms sister had endometerosis and Lacey thinks she may have this too or the drs think she may have this. Her endometrial strip measures 16.6mm also. She is bleeding inbetween periods and going a long time between periods also. I read up on the endometerosis and im very scared for her to have this as i have read there isnt really a cure and the pain will sometimes not go away. Even if they do surgery they say the pain comes back in 44-52 percent of patients. She already broke her back in a car accident and made a full recovery but takes tramadal and vicoden for the pain and i really wanted to get to a point where she didnt need the pain killers as much because she got in the gym and started strengthening her back. But now im scared that this pain may make her have to continue to have to take opiates. If you need any other information ask and i will try to get it to you asap. Thanks for the help.
