    Question D&C with Hysteroscopy

I am having a D&C with hysteroscopy this Wednesday. It's my very first "surgery" type or procedure so naturally I am a nervous wreck.

I was wondering if anyone who has had this done would be willing to post their experiences. Thank you.

Dont be nervous I just had a hysteroscopy and D&C on 8/14. Everything went fine. You will be put to sleep and may have some cramping when you wake up, but they will give you meds for the pain. Make sure you have someone to drive you home when it's over. You will not be able to drive! You will do a lot of sleeping the day of the surgery. Just get plenty of rest over the next few days after the surgery. You should do fine.

    Default No worries

Had it yesterday.... no real issues. A little cramping when I sneeze. I haven't even needed pain meds. Mine was performed under full anesthesia.

    Default D & C Hysteroscopy

    Amethyst,

I am having a D&C with hysteroscopy this Friday. This is my second time, had one 8 years ago. I am a nervous wreck as well and one thing I do not like going under. Mine will be performed under full anesthesia. You are going to be fine and wish you best of luck.

I had one last week. Full anesthesia, minor cramping and light bleeding since. I haven't needed my pain meds. They removed an endometrial polyp that was causing heavy bleeding during my periods.
