also when we had sex it hurt but could that be the same as when you have sex near the beginning of your period and it feels sensitive and achey??
basically i'm on microgynon 30 and it says it's normal for your periods to be shorter and lighter, so when my period ended after about 2 or 3 days i was slightly concerned but not that surprised. the problem is that yesterday my boyfriend and i had sex but i couldn't remember if i had a tampon in or not - being the hypochondriac that i am i've now convinced myself that there's one stuck up there even though me and him both tried to find it and we couldn't. today we tried to have sex again and it felt different and weird
i've read that it can cause abdomenal pain which i kind of have but it's not that bad, but i do have a lower back ache which feels like the kind you'd get on your period.
so - could the abdomenal pain be due to being so soon off my period? same with the back pain?
i'm quite scared to go to the doctor and i don't know what to do!!

Sorry, but you would of known if you has a tampon in. It would have been hard for him to penetrate you. Don't worry. I think your imagination is playing games with you.
I knew a girl that had sex while she was drunk and forgot to take out her tampon. She ended up at the hospital and they removed it with hymostats(don't know if I spelled that right). I don't remember it being a big deal for her she just went and had it taken out. This was about 30 years ago.
I don't use tampons but I would imagine you might know if you had one stuck there because you would probably feel something.
you would start to have an awfull smell down their if you still had a tampon inand cramps.and its really not that embarassing to go to the dr to get it removed it happens to the best of us![]()
I imagine you've already done a finger sweep of the area, but try doing so while also pushing. Push out like you have to urinate (but don't..lol) put flex your vaginal muscles outword while you finger sweep... you'd probably feel it then, if it were there.
I'm a hypochondriac as well.. as pretty ocd... everytime I take my tampon out and replace it I double check to make sure I'm not stacking another one on top of it lol. I am pretty sure if a tampon got moved deep inside past the point where you can reach it with your finger and into your cervix that it would become painful, kind of like deep sex.. etc.
But I mirror the others that say... see a doc if you're worried it might be in there. Peace of mind is paramount to everything else, and I imagine one could get quite the infection if that thing stayed in.
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.
I definitely don't think you had a tampon. It would have poked your partner while he penetrated. However, if u r still worried, you could see your doctor! Its not embarassing!
