For the past five days I've been itching/hurting down there, and I looked at it in a mirror and there was some white stuff...so I think I may have a yeast infection? But I'm 17 years old and have never been to a gynecologist before, and I'm really really afraid to go...can I just see my normal doctor or should I go to a gynecologist? And if I go to the gynecologist, what should I expect? I know nothing...please help.

The gyno would be your best option. They'll just take a swab and make sure it is a yeast infection and give you, most likely, antibiotics.
Not a big deal, don't sweat it. But do go ASAP so it doesn't get worse and you can start feeling better.
