Aaaaaaa, I'm STILL trying to solve my mystery condition. So here I am, with another question...(have an appt. scheduled with the doctor, but I'm hoping for some help sooner than that).

So I know there are countless possible side effects of birth control pills...but is it possible to be on the pill for 5 years with no problems whatsoever, and then suddenly experience side effects purely as a result of being on the pill?

I'm referring specifically to a persistent case of vaginitis--there is no infection, just a heavy discharge and lots of irritation with NO explanation after countless tests--and I'm wondering if birth control could be the culprit since I've been on it almost 6 years now.

But could it take that long for it to cause problems for me?
