Default just had an abdominal and transvaginal ultrasound

Hi
ive been suffering from awful pains in my lower abdomen/pelvis area on and off for over a year....finally after docs thought i had recurrent urinary infections ...i had my first abdominal and transvaginal scan yesterday.

The sonographer said she didnt see any big cysts or fibroids....but I still havent got the full results yet.
The pain starts about a week or so and is like a twisting/nagging pain ...combined with sweats and I also suffer from severe PMS...which makes me angry....tearful and depressed...and lasts for 2-3 weeks. i was diagnosed as depressed and suffering from anxiety...since age of 14...but only just made the link that it could be hormonal!!
I'm just wondering if anyone has similar symptoms??? and what this could possibly be....I would really like to know what sort of treatments or further tests would help???
Thanks for listening..... Gem x

Please patiently wait for your doc's final words on this. I have a retroverted uterus which causes me the same pain that you have. But with proper diet, exercise and ph balance ( I also had frequent UTIs then), it doesn't bother me anymore. Should your doc suspect that it's hormonal issues, he'll surely have you checked on that as well.

It is good that you don't have cysts and/or fibroids. Are you taking pain relievers right now?

Unhappy cyst

I have a cyst on my right ovary and i'm getting pains too but the doctor said where i was getting pain the cyst wouldnt cause the pain.I have recently had a laparoscopy to see what could be causing pain but they couldn't get to see anything and i was put through pain for nothing.I also suffer with depression PMS too and in the past had fibroids removed.I will have ultra sound regularly but i would like to know whats causing pain.
