pink discharge with itching

right, i got back with my husband after 3 months apart, during this 3 months i wasnt sexually active and he says he wasnt either. when we 1st had sex again immediatley after he seemed to get a slight rash on the head of the penis. the next morning i had a pink discharge, and we both had itchiness. he then got a white discharge and the dr said he had a fungal infection. but if i have the same thing my discharge would be white but it is pnk. i have an appointment with the dr on monday but do you have any idea what this could be???

Surely the itching is from a fungal infection. The discharge can be fungal or bacterial. If bacterial, normally it would have a bad smell.

Pink discharge is often a symptom of a yeast (fungal) infection. I'm sure the discharge and the itching are all due to that.
