Default Itchy, red vaginal lips but no odor or pain! What is this? and how do I make it STOP?

The outside of my vagina has been really itchy and red. However, there is no pain, discharge, or weird odor. Just itch. I haven't changed anything... No new underwear, no new hygiene products, etc...

What can I use to relieve the itch? Should I be concerned that it is something more? It's been itching for about 4 days now. Not getting any worse or any better.

Thanks!!

I was going to say maybe switch soaps but if you say you havent changed anything i have no idea! Do you recall when it first came about? was there anything significant then?

Hey! Thanks so much for replying. It has started around five days ago, now. There was nothing significant about it. It just started itching and a little bit of redness (probably from scratching). Yeah it's weird because I haven't changed soaps, detergent, lubes, or anything else.
I have been told it may sound like a yeast infection. Do you know if there are any over the counter meds for yeast infections? I don't have health insurance right now so going to the doctor is kind of a last resort! Thanks so much!

Umm it could be a yeast infection yes....or even thrush. Im not familiar with medication you can get over the counter though. It might be a good idea to ask a pharmacist?
