Bacterial Vaginosis
I was diagnoised with bacterials vaginosis last week. I thought it was a yeast infection and treated myself for it..then went to the gyno and found out it was BV. My doctor prescribed me Metronidazole Vaginal Gel and told me to use for 5 nights. I had sex 3 days after my last treatment with this and the day after I had sex, i experienced a little itching. How many days after my last treatment was i suppose to wait until I had sex? Also, if I experiece more itching, should I treat myself again? Any help about this would be great!! THANKS!

If you're experiencing itching, you should go back and see the doc--the antibiotics used to treat BV can give you a yeast infection, and since it started up after you finished them that would be my first guess. But if you're not 100% sure of what it is, you don't want to treat it until you find out.
maybe you shouldnt have sex til youre cured enough after last treatment. next time you ask the doc how long you should wait. ok?
