I can only guess it's an infection.

    Default Could be several things.

Well the most common problem would be a yeast infection. It is most likely that if the itching is extreme. Another symptom can be strange odor and thickening of vaginal secretions. If the odor is extremely foul or "fishy" and the itching is minimal, you may have bacterial vaginosis (BV). If you suspect that it is a yeast infection, you can get over the counter medication such as "Vagisil" or "Monistat" at the grocery store. They offer creams and suppositories and often come with an extra tube of cream to help with the itching. You can choose from 3 or 7 day treatments and they are not expensive. If you notice pain, leasions, or growths as symptoms, go straight to the doctor!! Or if the over the counter stuff does not help. You could have something worse. Good luck!

Smile getting rid of yeast infections?!

If you truly do have a yeast infection, the doctor may prescribe DIFLUCAN...the generic is Fluconazole. It comes as a single pill! Good luck!

Sounds like an yeast infection! I live with cronic yeast infections and Although what princess and the other have said I couldn't every get rid of mine! We tried EVERYTHING!! So my doctor told me to start taking acidophilous, you can find it at any pharmacy or stores like Wal-greens or CVS! I took it for a month straight and then I only take it when I feel an outbreak coming on..But I havent had an outbreak in a while now! It will also work if you have a bladder infection or a UTI. Hope that helps you out some too!

Are you taking anything else? Any other medications or birth control? I found out that some birth controls and also antibiotics can cause chronic infections of that nature. Read up on any medication you might be taking. Also, taking soapy baths, using vaginal cleansers, some times condoms, or wearing non-cotton panties can contribute to yeast or bacterial infections in that area.

You either have a yeast infection or a bacterial infection. I'm dealing with this now. You need to talk to your doctor. If it's a yeast infection, they can prescribe 1 pill that can cure it or if it's bacterial they can prescribe a 1 dose cream.
    Good luck!
