Hi,

Iv been suffering for thrush for about 12 months I started with Canestan which did nothing to ease my complaint. I then went to the doctors and had a vaginal cream that helped but did not get rid of it. He took a swab to test for sexually transmitted disease and it came bk clear. Plus had unprotected sex so I no its nothing to do with that. I just worry whether there are any long term effects to having thrush for such a long time. Can please help me. I dont know what else to do. It is making me depressed and uncomfortable. My main question is: Are there any dangerous affects this can have on my body after being unable to get rid of it for 12 months? Should I try another tablet or cream from Chemist or go straight to the doctor again?
