After switching BC three times, I found that the last two have depleted my sex drive. Today I visited my gyno who told me that the one I'm on (LoSeasonique) is about the lowest hormone you can get. So to avoid me having to go off the pill and risk pregnancy, he prescribed me a testosterone cream and told me to apply it to my clitoral area to enhance libido.
I'm reluctant. With as many libido problems as are out there, if this cream was a good thing, wouldn't all of us with libido problems be using it?
Do any of you have experience with this cream? Recommend it or are against it? I'd really appreciate your input!
Yes that is exactly right and the reason why there is no "viagra" for women available. The testosterone products for women that are said to be libido enhancers have routinely been put down by the fact that the placebo effect cancels any 'proven' results. Testosterone creams will not harm you, and since there have been women claiming that these products do work they are going to be prescribed. I think your doctor was basically like "well you can give this cream a try".I'm reluctant. With as many libido problems as are out there, if this cream was a good thing, wouldn't all of us with libido problems be using it?
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.
