    Default Wondering about vaginal tear

    Hi all -

I've never had this before, but I believe I have a vaginal tear. It's near the entry of the vagina. I can tell that it begins to get better, and then I don't feel any pain at all during routine things like self-examination and wiping and such. I've waited up to four days or so, but then I have sex again with my boyfriend and the pain returns, so obviously I'm not waiting long enough.

I'm 24, strong and healthy and all that. But my boyfriend is *very* well endowed, length and girth-wise, which generally is a great thing for me, but I'm not a big woman at all in fact I'm built very slender and I have a small frame. I think we just went at it pretty roughly maybe a month or a month and a half ago without enough forplay and that's what did it.

I can find the exact spot of pain, it's not large, inflammed or bleeding at all. It just hurts! I've done a good bit of research online and I'm due for an annual soon. I was just curious as to if anyone on here may have had such a thing happen before and if so, how long did it take to completely heal? How long did you have to fend off sex (which is very difficult by the way lol) before it was not only no longer painless but didn't return?

I know everyone is different, just looking for rough time frames.

Oh, and I wonder if there's any vitamin or supplement that assists in tissue healing? I take a multi-vitamin and some extra D every day, at least I TRY to every day. Would some more vitamin E help perhaps?

I've been having a very similar issue as of late. So frustrating!

It seems that during certain times of the month for me, about a week before and a few days after my period, I'll tear during sex. I'll also feel kind of itchy and raw during this time too, so I'm thinking it's somehow related to the drop in estrogen that happens around my period.

If I tear, it's always in the same place - at the bottom of my vaginal opening, right above my perineum. It goes away in a day or two and I'll be fine for the rest of the month, no matter how rough the sex is. Very strange.

Anyway, I usually just try to use a generous amount of lube (KY Silk-E with Vitamin E and aloe), even throughout the day to keep things comfortable. My doctor also put my on topical estrogen cream to toughen up the skin, since he had mentioned that my vaginal skin was thinning due to low estrogen. The problem showed up for me while being on Yaz for 4 months. Are you on any birth control?

Actually no I'm not. I had to get off all types of birth control because the hormones gave me consistant terrible migraines. But that's a new angle on the tearing, thanks! I'm definitley going to have the doc check that out when I go...
