Having difficulty finding answers to this complex question.
I have NF1. I have a large fibroma (about the size of a large gumball ) on the outer labia.
My OB/Gyn said "they don't remove those unless they are bothersome"
Mine is only large and ugly, not red, weeping, scaly, multicoloured, or anything to my knowledge that would raise a question as an infection, STD.

This is the first year that he did not do an annual pelvic exam or pap smear. So he did not exam the bump, lump.

I am in my early 50's, have not been in an active relationship for a few years.
My pap test have always been clear, never had an infection or any other problems, with the exception of ovarian cysts, many years ago.
Can anyone with a similar experience advise me? How large does it have to be before they remove it?
