Default Swollen and hard labia; please help.

I don't know what caused this. I was itching and scratching and then all of a sudden my labia is swollen and hard, both sides. I've tried googling and most talk about some B-word cyst but it doesn't look like that. It's closer to my clit and urethra than my vagina.

I took photos but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post them here. I can't find anything that looks like it on the internet; I can e-mail you photos if you think that would help. I'm really worried. It doesn't hurt but it's very uncomfortable and weird.

You need to see a doctor. It sounds like a reaction to something.

I can't make an appointment until tomorrow morning. I wanted to try and find out any information I can in the meantime or if there's anything I could do.

Go wash yourself with lukewarm water, no soap. Pat yourself dry and wear cotton panties. Until your doc sees you, refrain from any sexual contact or from any further irritation possible.

    Take care.

Overnight it has shrunken considerably; like at least a fourth the size it was although it is still swollen. Should I still go to the doctor today or wait a day and see if it heals itself?

Why not see the doc? I'm bet is you've come in contact with something that has triggered a reaction. But find for sure and she can explain what to do to avoid a reoccurance.

Okay good idea. I don't want it to happen again for sure.

Well I am relieved. It's pretty much gone down. Doc said I have a yeast infection and the scratching plus that triggered the inflammation. Got meds and all should be well.
