At first I would have said UTI, but then I was thinking yeast infection. I'd definitely get into the Dr and get checked out. In the meantime, drink lots of fluids, like cranberry juice or water.
Hi Ladies,
I have been experiencing some strange symptoms (or what I believe to be strange, I tend to overanalyze and worry a lot) for quite some time now (probably 6 or more months). I am 18 years old and not sexually active if that helps at all.
I have had burning sensation when urinating and after urinating on and off since I was 13 or 14, but I always thought that it was just a bad bought of chronic UTIs. I went a couple of years ago to give a urine sample, but never heard back about the results. However sometimes the burning can last as long as half an hour after I go, and can be so intense that I can't walk, I have to sit. It also usually occurs around my period (although it has occurred when I am not on or near my period). It also gets really itchy down there, to the point where scratch so hard that I accidentally scrape myself.
Another strange symptom is last February (a year ago) I began experiencing pain under and around my right hip bone. I went to my doctor and he told me I probably strained or pulled a muscle in that area and prescribed some anti-infammatory pills. The pain eventually subsided after a while, but then a couple of months later a new pain began. It was a sharp stabbing pain on the right side of my lower back when I would bend over or move a certain way, almost as if bending over was causing something to push into my back from the inside. That pain also subsided eventually (after a few weeks). I don't know if these pains are just normal or if they even relate to what is wrong, but I thought I would mention them just in case as they were in the abdominal region.
I have no abnormal discharge, but it smells buttery, almost like fresh baked bread (that's why I thought it may be a yeast infection). I have never been to the gyno, but I am going to have a urine sample taken in the next couple of weeks. Can anybody tell me what you think may be the possible cause behind these symptoms??

I agree you need to get into a doc just to have everything checked over.

yes, for sure I will get to the doctors. Thank you for your replies!
I personally suggest for you to go to 2 doctors to make sure: a GYN and a Urologist. Your symptoms are interconnected.
