Thread: Itchy Breasts?!

So, a couple months ago, I got these small bumps on my areola, around my nipples. Ive been doing some research and it looks like montgomery glands, or whatever their called, because I saw a picture of them and it looks almost just like that picture. But the thing is that they are super itchy! I only got these bumps a couple months ago when the itching started happening! First I was just kind of itchy and there were no bumps, then it got more and more and more and now there are these bumps and my breast itself is also itchy. There are some small red bumps on my breast too. So...what to do? I don't know the next Ill be able to see the doctor.

This could be down to a mild form of Eczema, especially with the red dots your are expereincing. Have you ever had eczemes before or has anyone in your family had it? - although the red marks could be down to just excessive itching.

Have you the right fitting bra? Sometimes if the bra is too loose, or too tight, the nipples can rub on the favric of the bra, which in some cases could cause irritation. check and see if you have changed your detergent as well - as maybe you have an allergy to certain washing products/ingredients.

intertrigo, which is basically a rash, could be another case - and this can form around the breast area. (although usually in the folds of the skin)

Anywho - i would def check with the doctor. Any inflamation, rashes or pimples are generally easily treatable by medication or creams.
