Would mycoplasma and/or ureaplasma show up when a gyno sends a swab to the lab to check for yeast, bacteria, etc? Or does a special test need to be done to look for these things?
I may be wrong but I've just had a swab sent for Bacterial Vaginosis and yeast infection and that's all it tested for. I'm waiting for swabs to be taken and sent away and cultured in a lab to test for any other type of bacteria so I think it's a separate test.
