    Default abnormal periods

after i had my 2nd child a year and a half ago my periods changed to where i was lightly bleeding a week to two weeks before my regular period, then when i had my period it was very heavy. so i talked to my doctor whom i respect very much, and he told me to wait a couple months and see what happens. this was about 7months after i had the baby, so a couple months later it is still happening so he put me on birth control to see if my cycles are off, well it;s been two months on the birth control and for about 2 weeks i have been bleeding a dark brown color, not heavy but regular, i would like to talk to my doctor about it but how do i tell the receptionist what i need to see him for, they always need specifics. does anybody know what is happening to me?

    Default abnomal periods

    Hi,

I haven't had children and so can't advise on that front, BUT I am on the pill and have been for the last 10 years.

when i started taking the pill, my periods were very regular and accurate. however, more recently, my periods have been later and not so regular as they were - i understand this shouldnt happen on the pill?

anyway - my periods have too become very 'dark' but not necessarily heavy.

my doctor seems to think it may be that I have suddenly become unsuitable for the pill i am taking, but due to other problems i am experiencing, i have to go and see a gynaecologist for further examinations.

hope you can get some more advice - i will repost any further information i get
