Hello All,
My sister's (in India) very sick and she needs help. Doctors there are unable to help her. I am posting her health issue as follows: We are desperately looking for any kind of advice and suggestions.
Thank you
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am now 40 years old, got married in 1997 and got conceived in that October. After conceiving from the day one of pregnancy I had severe urinary tract infection, but no medicine was given and by the 6th month UTI vanished. I delivered my son on 7/7/98, after undergoing labor pains for more than 14 hours. Delivery was normal, but vacuum was used to remove the baby at the end as I could no more take the pains, neither I or my son were cleaned properly and I had abdominal pain on and off for one of 1 1/2 years and in Dec. 2000 cauterization was done and my regular gynecologist found an ulcer on my cervix, slowly over a period of time (1 year) I could come out of the problem
My periods were very regular but they used to prolong for 11 to 12 days. 1st and 4th day very little discharge in chocolate color and suddenly bleeding would start heavily for 2 days with big clots then 7th day no bleeding, 8th and 9th day chocolate color bleeding, 10th day no bleeding and 11th day fresh bleeding . This went on for last 3 to 4 years.
Ultra scanning reports even showed fibroids. I had 4 fibroids in all the three layers of the uterus, the biggest being 5cms, which was on the outer layer.
I also suffer from IBS (irritable bowl symdromeI, where wheat, dry fruits, and lentils do not suit me and even spicy things. Past 2 years every 4th day, I used to develop indigestion with stomach pain for which I used to take Norflox 400 mg or some Ayurvedic product . In a month 2 times antibiotic course was taken, nothing helped much for long time. IBS started in the year 2000, probably due to heavy antibiotics were given to me after cauterization for a period of 1 1/2 years. After hysterectomy, I do not know "the problem is less, probably, I am very cautious of my eating habits. But some times sudden pain and I pass motion, which is normal in the beginning and then loose later. They have done colonoscopy 2 years and 8 years ago , where the intestine was found normal . Before hysterectomy my motion also used to be sticky and used to wash for a very long time as motion used to be coming, then there used to be irritation and slowly pass towards the vaginal region. I used canestin cream. After hysterectomy, this is not happening. My motion is also now normal. If little irritation due to hard motion, I apply castor oil and it helps me a lot.
Start of the recent problem (spot pain in lower abdomen)
Now coming to the trauma of 5 1/2 months.
1) After my periods in Sept. 2009, on Oct 4th I developed a spot pain in the lower abdomen.
2) The pain was lot, urine used to burn i.e urethra used to burn and pain in the abdomen, upper and lower. In the spot I used to have more burning sensation than pain. I used to be difficult to sit.
3) I started my own medication of Norflox 400 mg , thinking it is to be urinary infection. It did not subside and then went to gynecologist, who got the scanning done for my pelvic region and put me on Urispas. She wanted urine culture to be done after 7 to 10 days and come back
As per scanning report, she was not worried about the fibroids and felt the uterus is fine. As the pain aggravated at that spot, thinking it to be muscle problem, went to Ortho. He gave a clean chit, then went to another gynecologist, who put me on Taxim for 5 days.
Nothing subsided, went to urologist, Neuro-physician and they said nothing wrong, then went to a general physician who suspected radiculitis, could not bear the pain, so I met my gynecologist. On examining, she suspected the spot pain could be due to fibroids in uterus and asked me to get hysterectomy and on Nov 9th she did LAVH with GA. But the moment I came out of GA, the first thing I could feel was the spot pain . She put me on catheter for 10 days . After removing the catheter , it was difficult to pass the urine , even though 1.5 ltr of water taken , could not urinate even after 2 hrs , very little urine passed after 2 hrs and she asked me to go home . I was with pain throughout the night, next day she asked me to come immediately and did pre and post void urine scanning and found 1006cc urine retention in the bladder. Same day, she did dilation of the urethra and again put the catheter over night and removed next day.
Pain did not subsided and urethra was burning, then she put me on gentamycin injections, 2 per day for 5 days. After stopping the injections within 4 days pain and burning aggravated again. Then, immediately rushed to a urologist, who put me on Dynapress 0.4mg and asked me to come back next day for scanning. On the scanning the residue came down 55cc. This happened in Dc 2009. Since then Dynapress tablets has been taken 1 per day. But the spot pain is still persisting and hence MRI, CT SCAN, CYSTOSCOPY were done and everything was found to be normal . Then again an Ortho, Gastro, Uro, Doctors were consulted and no body could find the cause for the spot pain and they asked me to consult back to Gynecologist, where she put me on Niftron 100 mg Tab , thrice a day for 3 months and told everything will become alright over a period of time. Flew back to home on 30th Dec and within 2- 3 days , pains became very severe. Consulted a nefrologist, who directed me to a urologist, thinking it to be bladder problem, urologist got the following test done
a) MCU
B) Pelvic X-Ray
c) Urodynamics
and put me on one more Tab : Detrusitol 2mg , 2 tab , per day . He has done cystoscopy and found Trigonotis and asked me to void the urine once in 2hrs, as I had no urge to pass urine, which I have lost after the operation.
Pain tells me to go to Urination
Pain is persisting throughout the day and when it aggravates, it is an indication to pass urine
Urologist found my bladder contraction are not fine, bladder capacity is 500 - 550 cc and did dilation again for the urethra. I am also taking homeopathy medicines for past two months She says she is treating for Nerve, muscle, and tissue and trigonotis.
Main points:
1) Just cannot sit even for 5 Min, even if I sit, I have to separate my legs and sit with pain.
2) While sleeping, I cannot turn to either sides. I have to sleep straight by folding my legs all the time.
3) While walking also I have to put my hand supporting to that spot. I can walk for 10 - 15 min with pain
4) No urge to pass the urine, but sensation was felt in the urethra, while passing the urine.
5) Pain persisting throughout the day
6) Nights, I take less water, hence go twice only for urination without urge as a routine.
7) Some time after passing the motion, when I get up from the western comout I feel the pain at the spot
As Homoeopathist wanted me to have a gynic check up , since it was already 3 months , after operation , went to a well known gynecologist , referred by her , who put me on Gabapentin 100mg and Estriol cream (hormone cream) for 15 days and told on examining that, it was a case of extensive dissection of bladder and the bladder was adherent to the walls and hence nothing can be done in allopathic and I have to put up this pain throughout my life and asked me to do yoga and physiotherapy , which may reduce the pain and pray to God.
Current Problem:
1) At the time of hysterectomy, doctor said, the uterus and bladder were attached by lesions and she had to cut them.
2) The pain levels have come down very slightly and do not find that, homeopathy is helping anyway.
3) My depressions levels are very high and I do not feel like living and some times feel like committing suicide though I do not have guts to do.
4) It is already 5 1/2 months , I am going through the pain . I lost faith in doctors. As I have been seen by 18 doctors for the same spot pain before and after the operation.
5) some times the pain also radiates in the pubic region and to bone area. I cannot lift 0.5 kg weight.
6) I have Cervical and slip disc problems
7) After operation, gas formation is too much around the navel region and I can feel pain releasing once the gas comes out.
8) when I lay down , there is no urge to pass urine even after 2 hrs , but when I stand I can feel slight tingling in urethra and I can do pass urine from 250 - 400 cc
