Hey sweets. Please be aware that even though I am giving my advice that I advise you to either go see a gyn or get one of those tests that tell you if it's what I think it is or something more serious.

    1. That sounds like a yeast infection because they usually take the form of something that resembles cottage cheese. I don't know if it actually goes away during your cycle, it just might seem that way. If it turns out to be yeast, there are over the counter treatments for that. You can find it near the feminine products of any store....that sells feminine products! lol

    2. The discharge may be a part of that problem. Personally I think its so chalky that you may always seem dry.

    3. For this one I strongly recommend an OB/GYN because only he can give you a proper diagnosis and make sure to ask questions on all three of you concerns.

Hope that has helped some but I'm sure some of the other ladies may have some good ideas as well.

The vagina cleans itself and that does create some discharge which can vary in consistancy depending on where you are in your cycle. Is there a foul odor associated with it?
The dryness may indicate at least a low level infection of some type. Why not go in and let the doc take a look, see what she thinks?
Some medications, such as antihistimenes, can cause dryness. Be sure you drink plenty of water and eat a healthy diet - that can help.

As there's no odour it probably is thrush, it's not serious and plenty of us girls get it. Thrush does tend to get better after a period because the blood flushes alot of the yeast out of the vagina but obviously the yeast infection isn't completely gone so it will keep coming back until it's dealt with. It can cause dryness but so can worrying you've got something major going on in the area so get it checked out to put your mind at rest!

Cervical cancer is reletively symptomless which is why papsmeres and going to a gyno are pretty crucial... the sooner treated the better chances at saving a persons life.

If you have EVER even ONCE has a penis inside of you without a condom, even if it didn't ejaculate... there is a chance of contracting an std... even if the guy has ZERO symtoms..

Things like chylamida can remain symptomless in your body until they turn into pelivic inflammatory disease (what happens sometimes when cyhlimia/ghonnerea go untreated) and can lead to infertility... which may not be a big deal now, but you may want a family some day.

A sexually active woman, even if you're dating a guy you trust should be getting annual gynocological exams. Cervical cancer, yeast infections, diseases, pregnancy prevention, and just for an over all view that things are in good working order down there are some of the reasons that should get you to call for an appt.

Finding out what you don't want to know could save your life on the extreme end, and get you back to having comfortable sex on the more typical end...its really worth it even if you have no problems. The fact that you have some problems (the discharge, the dryness) should prompt you to get there as soon as you can.
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.
