hi,
im 29 and just 2 weeks ago gave birth.
the birth:
i had to be induced 2 weeks after the due date.
I was given a pessary, was monitored, then had to have my waters broken for me.
i then had the hormone drip, epidural and was given a catheter.
due to timing reasons i was then given an episiotomy and finally the
forceps were used to deliver the baby.
after 2 days i was able to go home, taking painkillers and antibiotics with me. 2 days after these meds had finished i still had pain from my episiotomy stitches, which i expected, but i also had shooting pains at my clitoris!
the skin feels really tight over it.
two other ways ive described this pain to people is 'like a wind/air bubble travelling from my vagina up into my clitoris', and 'like there is a little stick stuck down there'.
everything at the moment is feeling really tight down there. the pain is so strong and uncomfortable at times i can hardly sit or lie down at times without flying straight back up.
i went to the hospital. doctor said it was likely a urine infection. they took some tests and gave me antibiotics and painkillers for this.
the test results came back negative for a urine infection, and the pain is still all there.
this is making my life terribly difficult at the moment.
does anybody have any ideas, experiences or suggestions as to what i might be going through?
all help welcome
Thank you
MT
Is it possible that the episiotomy site is infected and the antibiotics didn't work? I'd definitely get back into your Dr and find out what is going on.
It sure sounds painful and probably something you don't want to have fester.
