Thread: Ovarian Cyst?

For two months now (almost non-stop) I have had a aching pain in my left
side, which seems to be coming from my ovary.
I saw my GP last month, and recieved an ultrasound apt for this week.
I have read what people have described to be cysts on their ovaries,
but have had no huge pain moments, apart from a few stabbing feelings every once and a while. Otherwise it is a constant aching feeling.
Is this the pain of a cyst? Or should I be worried about something else going on?

For those who have had cysts...Do the fluid filled-(most likely to resolve themselves) cysts give constant throbbing/ache? Or does this sound like
a cyst that is not going to resolve itself (need to be removed)?

The pain was much worse the day my period started as well. My period has been over for 2 days now, and the pain is still there. (I was told that the cysts can be resolved after period?)

I am more worried about this as time goes on, because I though it would have gone away by now.

Any help/advice on this would be great!

I guess you get an unexplained ache in your woman area and you automatically assume cancer. Well I did anyway.
I will try to relax, and get the ultrasound on wednesday, and go from there.
Nothing else to do I guess.
But I appreciate all the advice.
