Long story short, I had an infection and they gave me a course of anti-biotics which I took, no alcohol and took a probiotic drinks with them, but I'm still having discharge, I took my last course on Sunday, is this normal? I had to take three a day for five days. Anyways does this mean they haven't worked?? I REALLY want this to go away I've been so uncomfortable for the past few MONTHS as I had thrush on/off as well. Anyways, there's no itcing or anything just discharge and I'm 90% sure it's not just normal vaginal discharge. I'm also on the depo injection if that helps and have had some spotting on/off for like...a month or so? But I'm not having any at present. Can someone help me?

From my understanding, most medications can stay in your system for a week or slightly longer. If it persists after about 7-10 days, I'd call your doctor. You may need another/longer course of antibiotics.

I feel your pain. I've had BV that hasn't gone away in a year and a half. Very frustrating.

Phew thank you, you've eased me a bit I mean the good news of it all is that the discharge has defianetly decreased since the medication so maybe it has worked, hope so. Aww that sucks I thought I was bad! Thanks very much for the reply

If you have a thrush/yeast infection I am almost sure that antibiotics will not help you. They might temporarily cure your symptoms, but in most cases the infection turns back in a few weeks. Try some natural methods, and avoid antibiotics, they only get your body out of balance.
After two years I don't suffer from yeast infections any more!

Yeah I know I went back to the docs and tbh we both don't think I have thrush there was little irritation just the discharge so back on these tablets as they did seem to help a little last time, hope this works fml...
