Im just curious, as ive read a few posts (past and present) which have indicated that some women have had, or appear to have had, some sort of vaginal infection that has been ongoing for ages, if not that - proper ages like years!
I just wouldnt think it possible - i can understand knowing through abnormal vaginal discharge and smells etc, but i would have thought that would have accompanied with the infection itself - maybe a few weeks later or so, but not years!

Nah it's totally possible. A woman doesn't know a thing about sex, her body, etc (which is a LOT of people in this world, grrrr stupid incompetent schools and etc). One day her discharge becomes questionable but she doesn't have the education to even notice it.
My doctor said that a bacterial infection that goes on for a number of years would start to destroy your tissues...
It's perfectly possible because some infections have no symptoms and others have very mild symptoms that get missed.
i knew that a lot of infections have mild or no symptoms, but i just assumed that those symptoms would grow and be more obvious over time.
well, there you go! at least ive learnt something new for the month!

Some women are not that aware of their own body systems so that could be possible. They only get to "notice" it once it is almost impossible to get rid of.

Yeah, totally. I had endometrosis and when the doctor went in to treat it he said one of my falopian tubes was severely damaged. I asked what from and he said probably just an infection that I never noticed. I never had any symptoms that would indicate an infection and just never knew.
