    Default Vulva infection...please help!

I have what appears to be vulvitis. My vulva has been red, sore, itchy and I have gotten occasional blister like sores. My Dr. ruled out herpes and recommended A & D diaper rash ointment and something for the itch. These have helped control symptoms, but it is not going away. I have been battling these symptoms for over two months now. It is driving me crazy! I am not using any scented soaps, wearing cotton panties, careful with all that touches down there. I am going through a divorce, and am in a new wonderful relationship with a man I enjoy being intimate with and this is ruining it! I tried a steriod cream which cleared up the rash, but may have caused a yeast infection. What can I do to get rid of it?

I've got the same problem except no itching, I too use products to control the symptoms but they aren't healing it. Mine's been going on for 3 months now and although not as bad as when it first started it's a long way from how it should be. I don't know what the solution is, have you been tested for infections? Mine isn't an infection so they don't know what's causing it. I'm waiting for a referral to a dermatologist that specialises in that area to see if it's a skin condition and the consultant I saw is debating whether to try oestrogen cream with me to see if it toughens the skin up. I too use no chemicals on that area, wear cotton underwear, pat dry rather than rub and use a non bio wash powder so I can't see it being an allergy as there's nothing going on that area to be allergic to!
