    HELP!

I suffered a bad yeast infection because of antibiotics & was using 7day Canesten cream to help. At the end of the 7days I felt better but when I tried to have sex with my boyfriend once he entered me I felt a strong pressure, felt like I was completely raw and he was rubbing against my raw skin, it was so painful!!

So went to see doctor & she didnt want to put me on antibiotics so she gave me hydrocortisone cream which didnt help, each time I have tried to have sex with my boyfriend I feel this specific pain, right when he enteres I feel raw like he is rubbing my completely raw skin!

This has been going on for 3wks, we have tried numerous times to have sex, have had successful sex twice but it was still painful and I feel extremely raw and even more sore the next time we try.

We have used lube, etc. I just want my normal sex life back! Can anyone please help me?! If I cant find a way to cure it on my own ASAP ill be heading back to the doctor again.

Same thread different section so I am deleting one.

However, Canestan relieves thrush. Lube can cause thrush. If you treat yourself and not your partner, it re-occurs. Because it carries, to the other and back again..

So get some more cream and put it on him.

Check your lube your alergic to something in it and buy "non sensitve" lube..

You need to make sure you are fully recovering or have recovered from your yeast infection before having sex. Your vagina is desperatly trying to sort itself out - you need to give it a break so it can do that.

I'd suggest trying the pessary or oral capsule version of canesten as the cream is only for outside the body, it may be that you aren't clearing the thrush from inside with the cream so the skin there is still very sore.

It has been about a month since starting the Canesten, so about 3 weeks from finishing it. Im just not sure how much longer to wait before being really concerned?

On two instances we have held off sex for a week and then tried and it was alright the first time, there was pain but only minimal. But then on both instances the time after, whether it be the next day or second day we would do it again it would be absolutely SO extremely painful again.

Maybe we should hold off sex completely? But for how long? Or what other options do I have?

I would suggest waiting until you are over your infection, or at least feel more comfortable while havine sex. Why have sex when your in pain? wheres the enjoyment in that?

lets face it, as you already know yeast infections seriously irritate genital tissue making it even more delicate than usual. having intercourse is only going to make those feelings of rawness and itchiness worse, open you up to additional genital infection risks, and may take even longer for you to heal.

its not particuluarly common, but its not been ruled out, that you can actually pass on yeast infections to your partner. but like i say - its very rare.

Also, treatments and creams that you may be using on your vagina to help with the healing process can damage and weaken the latex in condoms.

    Default The verdict

    Hi everyone,

So yesterday I had really severe pain which felt exactly like a bladder infection, an UTI. But as the night progressed it got so bad my boyfriend ended up taking me to the emergency room.

After explaining about the yeast infection, and the painful sex and now the bladder infection pain, they found that I have Pelvic Inflammation Disease.

This is the cause of taking too many antibiotics that you get a severe infection in your pelvis, causing swelling and symptoms like a bladder infection. So I am now on 2 different anti biotics and 1 pain killer. The pain is gone, I was pumped up on morphine last night so much so I couldnt stop vomitting. But nontheless, I am a bit better today, still nauseated, but better.

So I am on the road to recovery!! I advice any women who has symptoms like mine to seek further medical advice, its very important as having PID can cause you to be infertile if you have it for too long.

    Thanks for all your help!

    Default Antibiotics side effects

Like you said in your last post; your Pelvic Inflammation Disease was brought about taking too many antibiotics which lead to a severe infection in your pelvis.

And now you say your doctor prescribe 2 more antibiotics? I think your doctor doesn't want to lose a client.

Antibiotics kill of the bacteria that helps keep your body in balance and as a result of this a fungus called Candida Albicans grows out of control and causes the yeast infections along with many other health problems.

There is a natural way to cure your yeast infections and you can find it at: *Removed outbound link*
