Exclamation 1st yeast infection... what to do??

So I got put on 2 weeks of anti-biotics for a skin infection, which is basically a prescription for a yeast infection. I hoped for the best, but here I am with 3 days left of meds and 3 days until I leave the country and I have my very first yeast infection.

I do not really want to take any antifungal medicines for it, these antibiotics have screwed me enough as is! So I've been putting yogurt inside my vagina and around it. I think it's helping? I guess my main question is if I don't take anti fungal medicine, will it eventually go away on it's own when I'm done taking the antibiotics?? This is seriously killing me... uuuggghhh...

    Thanks for the help!

Yes it will go away, sometimes it might just need that extra bit of help (antifungals).

I do know how you are feeling and the uncomfortableness of the condition. I recommend just boosting your immune system now with acidophilus and also insert them up there as well, they will work just as good as the yoghurt.

I would say take the anti-fungals to get on top the yeast infection and keep going with the yoghurt at the same time. Also Acidophilus capsules daily would be a good idea to get everything to settle back down to how it should be. The yeast infection may or may not go without medication but it's better to get rid of these things sooner rather than later.
