I feel like I have been cured almost over night! After doing some natural cure research I found many people recommended garlic. I was super sketchy, but after seeing it in so many places, I decided to try it out.

It worked!!! This morning I have almost none of that yucky cheesey discharge! I'm not as itchy either! I don't think it's completely gone, but I think two more days of the garlic treatment and I'll be good to go=)

So here's the secret garlic treatment:
    1. Take garlic clove
    2. Remove that papery stuff that's on the outside so you're left with the smooth clove (as if you are about to cook with it)
    3. Thread a piece of string through the garlic clove somewhere near the middle (so it won't rip out of the garlic) for easy extraction
    4. Insert garlic clove into vagina, leave over night
    5. Remove garlic clove in the morning by pulling on the string
    6. Put garlic clove in trash can
    7. (optional) Depending on your tolerance and how bad the yeast infection is, you can cut perferations in the garlic clove, or cut the clove in half. The more of the inside of the clove is uncovered, the more it will fight the yeast.

    The downsides:
--I reek of garlic. But this isn't anything new because I cook with garlic all the time. The smell will go away eventually.
--It burns when first inserted. But I'm sort of a masochist and know that "the burning means it's working". If you are more sensitive, do not cut any slices into the garlic. I basically cut the entire outside edge off. Also, putting garlic in a healthy vagina can actually burn the skin. So be careful!!

    Warning:
I am no doctor. This worked for me. Of course you should seek medical help from a professional.

But! Good luck. This has been the greatest discovery of my life!!!!=)

Just saying that an infection is highly possible when putting any sort of fruit, herb, or food product into an area where it is not meant for, especially wet dark areas.

I have used this method of treatment in the past and found it very effective too. I've have recomended it here as well. Hadn't heard the bit about using some string. You want to use organic and it often takes several days. It will work for many infections as well. It does need to be slightly crushed or to have at least a few slices to release the allicyn (sp) which is what does the job.
Yes it can burn you, I've done that.

I must have overdone it the couple of days that I tried it, because the garlic smell was UNBEARABLE. It wasn't just garlic-ie, either, it was garlic-ie plus strange vaginal discharge-ish... ugghhh it was terrible. But the problem may have been from me cutting it TOO much before insertion.

So I opted for eating it instead.
